How to add a signature to a PDF before sharing it

Stamp versus certificate
Two very different things get called 'signing a PDF'. A certificate-based digital signature is cryptographic proof tied to your identity and is usually required for legally sensitive filings. What this tool adds is a visible stamp — your typed name, signature image, and optional date placed on the page. For everyday approvals, internal forms, and reviewing copies, the visible stamp is what most recipients actually mean.
Position on the real page
The tool renders the actual PDF page as a preview and lets you drag the signature into place by proportion of page width and height. That beats guessing coordinates: place it over the signature line, confirm, then apply. Uploaded signature images are normalized to PNG first, because the PDF library only embeds PNG or JPG — get a transparent-background PNG for the cleanest overlay.
Before you share a signed copy
Open the downloaded PDF and check the signature at final size: readable, not covering content, on the intended page. A signature placed over a table line or text block looks like tampering. Keep the unsigned original — once a stamped copy is shared, you want the clean source still available for a corrected version.
Typed names are fine, drafts are fine
A typed signature with a date is a routine acceptance mark for internal documents and review copies. If a counterparty explicitly requires a certificate-level signature, use a certificate tool instead — the page says clearly that this is a visible stamp, and that honesty is part of the workflow.

Place the stamp on the page that actually carries the signature block — not a cover or the last page by habit.
