ABOUT THIS TOOL

Extract exactly the pages you need

Splitting answers a common problem: you have a long PDF but only need part of it — one invoice from a batch, a single chapter, or the pages a colleague asked for. Sending a 3-page extract instead of a 90-page file is faster to share, easier to review, and kinder to the recipient's inbox.

This tool reads one PDF in your browser and writes a new PDF containing only the page numbers or ranges you enter. The original document is not modified. Splitting does not require OCR or text recognition — it works on scanned documents too, because it copies whole pages rather than reading their content.

How to use it

01

Choose a readable PDF.

02

Enter the page numbers or range.

03

Run the split and verify the output.

WHY THIS TOOL

Works on any readable PDF, including scans, because it copies pages rather than reading text.

Precise control: extract individual pages or ranges instead of sharing the whole document.

Local processing keeps sensitive documents (invoices, medical or legal papers) on your device.

PRACTICAL TIPS

Before you start

  • Open the PDF in a viewer first and note the exact page numbers — PDF page numbering counts from the cover, not from any printed page labels.
  • If you need several separate parts, run the split once per range rather than trying to produce multiple files in one pass.
  • To remove pages instead of extracting them, use Delete PDF Pages — it keeps everything except the pages you list.
